私にとって、始め妖精のドレスはただの自分のための何気ない手遊びでしたが、
沢山の方々が癒されたと仰ってくださり、次第に祈りを込めて作るようになりました。
人生を変えるほど圧倒的なものでなくとも、小さく灯る蝋燭の光のように、小さいけれど
確かな輝きとあたたかさを持つ、心を照らすことができるもの。
心に爪痕を残さなかったとしても、無意識下でそっと優しく支えになってくれるようなもの。
13輪の花を付けた一枝のすずらんのように、見つけたら幸せになれるもの。
私の作る妖精のドレスが、誰かにとってそんな存在であったとしたら、
そんな存在になれたとしたら、とても嬉しいです。
花たち、植物たち、それに庭の植物を育んでくれるお日さまや風や土や小さな生き物たち、
その存在や輪廻に思いを馳せ感謝し、そしてもしかしたらいつも手助けしてくれているのかも
しれない妖精さんたちにも感謝しながら妖精のドレスを作っております。

For me, fairy dresses started out as something I did by myself for fun. However, many people
told me that the fairy dresses had healing qualities, and I gradually started making them with prayers in my heart.
Fairy dresses may not change your life, but like the light of a small candle, they may be small but they have a
radiance and warmth that can illuminate your heart.
Even if the fairy dresses do not have a place in your heart, there is something about them
that will gently support you subconsciously.
Finding a branch of lilies with 13 flowers is a special and joyful discovery.
I would be glad if the dresses I create could have the same effect on someone else.
I make fairy dresses while considering and appreciating the existence and reincarnation of flowers and plants,
the life-giving power of the sun, wind, soil, and small creatures that nurture the plants in my garden,
and of course the fairies who are always helping me.

【使用しているお花とお庭について】
妖精のドレスには、基本的に私がお庭で育てたお花を使っております。
傷みかけていて一日後には散っていそうなお花を摘んだり、触るたびに花びらがはらはら散れる
ようなお花を摘んで使ったりもしています。また、傷んで変色している花びらの一部を切り取って綺麗に見せることもありますし、雨風などで落ちたり折れたりしてしまったお花を拾い集めて作ることもあります。
よく見たら使われている植物が傷んでいるのが分かる写真もあるかと思います。
ドレスのためにお花を手折ることも時にはありますが(ドレスのデザインにもよります)、
撮影が終わったら使用したお花を出来るかぎり生けています。プリザーブドフラワーにすることもあります。
ただ、花を摘むという行為は、そのお花をつけている株の体力を温存することに繋がる場合もあります。
妖精のドレスには植物の葉を使用することもあります。種類にもよりますが、植物は剪定したり、葉を間引いて風通しよくしなければ病気や虫の大量発生が起きやすくもなります。
また、妖精のドレスが萎れてしまった場合は、土に還しています。
ドレスに限らず、私の庭には、枯れた花や剪定した枝や落ち葉などを積み重ねている一画があるのですが、それらの植物たちは、みみずやダンゴムシや微生物などの沢山の小さな生き物たちに分解され、ふかふかの肥沃な良い土になり、その土はまた植物たちを育んでくれます。
長年庭では農薬を使わず、大切に愛おしみながら植物たちを育てています。自然の循環や小さな生き物達を尊重したいとずっと思っています。(＊農薬=悪と思っているわけではありません。
私のガーデニングは趣味ですし、庭も広大ではありません。療養生活で時間にも余裕があり、
植物たちの世話を充分に出来るような生活をしているので、農薬があまり必要ないのも理由の一つです。)
自然の輪廻に思いを馳せ、その循環を出来る限り尊重し、花たち、植物たち、それに庭の植物を育んでくれるお日さまや風や土や小さな生き物たち、応援してくださる沢山の方々、そしてもしかしたらいつも手助けしてくれているのかもしれない妖精さんたちに感謝しながら妖精のドレスを作っております。

About the flowers used and the garden
Basically, I use flowers grown in my garden for the fairy dresses.
I also pick flowers that are damaged and look as if they will fall off in a day’s time, or I pick flowers with petals that fall apart and scatter when I touch them. I also cut off some of the damaged and discolored petals of flowers to make them look beautiful, and sometimes pick up flowers that have fallen or broken off in the wind or rain to make the dresses.
you look closely, you may be able to see that some of the plants in the photos are damaged.
Sometimes we fold the flowers by hand for the dresses (depending on the dress design), but after the photo shoot is over, I try to restore the flowers. Sometimes, I make the flowers into preserved flowers.
However, the act of picking flowers may lead to preserving the strength of the plant that is bearing them.
Plant leaves are sometimes used for fairy dresses. Depending on the species,
some plants may also be pruned or thinned to improve air circulation, or they may be prone to disease or insect outbreaks.
Also, if the fairy dresses wilt, they are returned to the soil.
My garden is not only used for dresses, I have a section of my garden where I pile up dead flowers, pruned branches, and fallen leaves, etc. These plants are decomposed by many small creatures such as worms, roly-poly bugs, and microorganisms, and turns into good, soft, and fertile soil to nurture the plants again.
my garden for many years without using pesticides and with great care and love. I have always had great respect for natural cycles and the small creatures of nature. (*I do not believe that pesticides are evil. Gardening is my hobby and my garden is not on a large scale. I have a lot of time to take care of my plants and that is one of the reasons that I do not need to use a lot of pesticides.)
Considering natural cycles and respecting these cycles as much as possible,
I create fairy dresses while being grateful to the flowers and plants, the sun,
wind, soil, and small creatures that nurture the plants in my garden, the many people who support me, and even the fairies who are always helping me.
